So I really want my dimmer switch from hue to be able to trigger my electric blanket which is another app, it can be done either by ifttt or Alexa or Google, so be great if a button was pressed I’d get a notification? Then I can have ifttt grab that and turn blanket on?
Unfortunately the Hue bridge cannot send commands to other devices. So that means the Hue dimmer switch can only control devices connected to the same Hue bridge like lights. An alternative solution could be to continuously poll the Hue bridge, but that will have a delay and will slow down the Hue bridge.
This is something Philips Hue would need to add support for first.
