How to connect Philips Hue lights to a Philips Hue bridge?

  1. Open Hue Essentials and go to Devices, tap the + button, tap Light, select your bridge.
  2. Tap on Search for lights in Hue Essentials.

Serial number method

In case your light does not connect, you need to enter its serial number in Hue Essentials. You can find the serial number on the light itself. Some lights have the serial numbers on the packaging or instruction manuals.

  1. Open Hue Essentials and go to Devices, tap the + button, tap Light .
  2. Enter the serial numbers of the lights you want to connect.
  3. Tap on Search for lights in Hue Essentials.
