Not sure if you’re aware of this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.mcneill.hueshortcuts&hl=en&gl=US) but they’ve kinda cracked the code when it comes to Hue shortcuts.
Sync is still having disconnecting issues when changing apps on my Shield 2019, and beyond their plain menu shortcuts what we’d really need is their “toggle when opening app” feature:
Wen leaving an app Hue Essentials would send a “turn off sync” signal while in the Google tv menu and then when opening a media app like YouTube or stremio it would send a “turn on sync” signal which would most likely solve all sync issues since it would repeatedly wake the background process back up on Android TV.
Another option would be using their button mapping feature, 1 tap the Netflix button to enable sync would be pretty nice.
