I have been using the Hue Labs Sunlight as a Switch formula for several years and have found it very effective. My indoor lights are connected to multiple Hue motion sensor that turns them on or off based on a specific Lux value in that specific room. However, Hue Labs discontinued this year, integrating some formulas into the standard app functions. After reaching out to the Hue helpdesk, I learned that they do not offer this particular formula as a standard feature. The only option related to light intensity is using the sunrise or sunset automation, which is not a solution during daytime… I find it very frustrating that I cannot automatically control my living room lights with Hue when truly necessary (e.g. dark winter days or thunder storms) — and assume this would be a basic future the Hue platform would accommodate. Fortunately, the older Hue Labs formulas still work; however, I cannot open them and risk losing the functionality after a potential reset. Has anyone discovered a solution within the Hue platform to switch lights based on Lux value?
