Multiple bridges limit

is there a limit on hue bridges?

I have 3.
I just paid for “multiple bridges” but when a try to add another Hue bridge, it says “under development”
Yes they are all connected by ethernet and they are on the same wifi

within “under development” it suggest trying the (i)phone app if the desktop version doesn’t work

iOS app accepted the other 2 bridges
although it has triplicated the rooms
not all rooms show the lights within them

the extra bridges do not sync to the desktop app

Hi @JohnG, there is no limit on the amount of (Hue) bridges you can add in Hue Essentials with the multiple bridges upgrade. You should not see an “under development” when trying to add another bridge.

To add another bridge:

  1. Open Hue Essentials
  2. Go to the Devices tab
  3. Tap the + button at the bottom
  4. Tap Bridge
  5. Select your bridge from the list and follow the instructions

Please let me know where this goes wrong. A screenshot of the error message would be helpful.

The bridges itself are not synced between the iOS and desktop apps, but when you add the bridge the bridge settings (e.g. rooms) do get synchronised.

Could you please also share a screenshot of the room issue?

Hi Thomas
I’m on

  • Sequoia 15.1
  • Hue Essentials 4.1.1 (99)

from here

when I click on Phillips hue I get

when I did the same via iPhone it saw the other 2 hue hubs (and asked me to select one and then press the connect button

phone & MacBook and hubs are on the same wifi (and MacBook and hubs are also connected via ethernet)
PS same result with MB disconnected from ethernet

on the iPhone rooms look like this

cheers
John
