Mi Box S + deCONZ or Emulated Hue not working

Hi,

Just installed Hue Essentials on my Mi Box S and I’m running into two different issues.

First I tried to pair it with deCONZ. It works, it shows my devices under effects like “Lighting”, but under “Dance Sensation” or “Sync” it doesn’t show any devices - just an empty page.

I also tried to pair with Home Assistant’s Emulated Hue. It shows up on the bridge page, but it just bounces back instantly to the main page: https://streamable.com/6z18mf

Any advice on either issue?

Alright, I just figured out both issues:

In regards to the Emulated Hue not working, using the iOS app I figured out the error: “Missing conditions field!”. I’m guessing this is an issue with them, so I opened a bug report.

In regards to deCONZ not working with sync, using the iOS app I figured out the error: “Entertainment unsupported on selected bridge.”

It would be nice if the Android TV app also mentioned these error messages.

I think Hue Essentials has some trouble parsing the Hue response. Could you share your bridge response? Send a GET request to the following URL:
http://<HA IP Address>:80/api/nouser/

You should be able to just open the URL above in your web browser, that should work too. You can send the response to support@hueessentials.com. I will look into it and get back to you.

This will be fixed in the next version of Hue Essentials for Android TV. That will be version 1.15.0. It is already available as a beta. Unfortunately, Hue Entertainment is not supported on deCONZ.

Does the Hue Essentials app work on mi Box s to synchronize the lights with You tube for example?
Which app have you tested that works?
