I replaced my v2 bridge with the Pro.
I used to follow this procedure using touchlink to add Tradfri smart controls to my bridge;
However, I cannot seem to use Touchlink any longer to connect the Trafdri device to my Pro bridge?
Anyone else that migrated and got this back to work? Is touchlink functionality triggered differently and/or does the button in Hue Essentials still trigger this on the Pro bridge?
I’m having a similar issue. I’ve moved and bought a new hub bridge pro and can’t get it work. There seems to be some suspicion that the pro removes touch link. Which Is a PITA.
We’re planning to do a major renovation and will be replacing most of the light fittings so i’ve bought a load of Ikea B22 bulbs which will get replaced when the renovation is done.
I really don’t need a pro at the moment and have a spare standard bridge at the back of a cupboard somewhere. I’m going to find it pull it out and then may be downgrading if it works.
I report back on my experience
Ok, pulled out the non pro bridge, reset it. set it as a new bridge. Reset the bulb as per normal instructions, used touchlink and the non pro bridge found it with no drama.
I then tried to repeat the same steps that I’d used and the pro bridge won’t find it.
Conclusion -his is Phillips contribution to the enshittification of the interenet.
I’m no thinking I’ll migrate from the pro (if I can) or manually transfer them to the non pro bridge and put the pro on the shelf until we do the renovation.
