I have a Hue Dimmer Switch - Smart Remote Control | Philips Hue and would like it to use the dim buttons to control the brightness and color temperature of the lights in a room.
When I press and hold the “brighter” button I would like the lights to become brighter and cooler for as long as I press it.
When I press and hold the “dim” button I would like the lights to become less bright and warmer.
I tried to setup two actions:
On: Press
In Room: Room
Decrease brightness by: 10% (Fade time: 0:00:00)
Decrease color temperature by: 100 Matts (Fade time: 0:00:00)
Fade time: 0:00:00
On: Hold
In Room: Room
Decrease brightness by: 10% (Fade time: 0:00:00)
Decrease color temperature by: 100 Matts (Fade time: 0:00:00)
And the analog actions for the brighter button. Unfortunately, the light does not fade. Instead it seems really choppy and jumps from one brightness/temperature level to the next, while I hold the button.
The same happened when I removed the press trigger and only used the hold trigger. I also made sure to reset the switch in the Hue App and used “Configure in different app”.
Maybe someone can help me: Is it possible to create a smooth dimming effect, so the bulbs dim and change color while I hold the button and stop as soon as I release it? Do I need to set a fade time? How often does the hold event fire while I press the button?
