Dance Sensation not working on Nvidia Shield Pro (lights but no sync to music)

Hi All,

I have a DIYhue gradient strip set up on my TV via HueEssentials running on my Nvidia shield Pro.
Hue sync works very nicely and all the lighting effects seem to work, with the exception of Dance sensation.

I am able to launch dance sensation effects, but it does not seem to pay any attention to the music or sound playing. The sound is being passed through HDMI to the TV which is connected to my soundbar.

If I launch via my mobile phone, it syncs fine with the microphone!

Any ideas?

How does the shield normally intercept the audio? Mic on my phone works fine!
