I recently upgraded to a second bridge and move a number of lights and sensors to the new bridge. After, I noticed that I didn’t get notifications from sensors on the new bridge. After much tooing and froing with support, I discovered why. The sensor wasn’t armed (either HOME or AWAY) in the device settings. What I found out was that if a sensor is added where there is an existing sensor of the same type then it takes the same defaults as the first sensor in the list. When it’s added as the first sensor on a new bridge then it defaults to off.
This confused me a lot as I was deleting and re-adding the sensor to the two bridges and it always worked on the old bridge and never worked on the new bridge - so the conclusion was that it was a bridge issue…
I wonder why after two weeks the support team never thought to ask me to check this setting. Plus, I’m also disappointed that it too me so long to figure it out for myself too…
