Using Hue Essentials, can you connect a generic hardwired Zigbee smart switch or relay?
Can it be connected as a “Smart Control” instead of a “Light”?
If it was connected as a Light, it would add another light in the Hue app and cut power to the smart bulbs if turned off, defeating the purpose of the smart switch.
Connecting it as a Smart Control would let it just toggle on/off the existing smart bulb, instead of adding/cutting power to it.
If that is possible, how would we add it? I assume TouchLink wouldn’t work with a hardwired product?
And could we do Zigbee Binding to ensure it all works if the bridge goes offline?
