My light strip also will NOT connect on the app. Any of the 3 you have for some reason. I don’t even see an option to add a strip. I also purchased another meter lightstrip and it’s not even compatible with the big strip! What’s up with all these hoops we have to jump through on such an expensive product. Very disappointed
You can add a lightstrip as a normal light in Hue Essentials. If you have any questions, please let me know. Please also let me know if you would like to connect it over Bluetooth or to a Hue bridge.
There is nothing we can do about the compatibility of the different light strips. If you have any feedback about that, please get in touch with Philips Hue.

Oh no this is definitely a hue essentials app thing.
If you have LED strips in your entertainment area, the app will not be able to communicate with the DYI bridge. This is with the original Hue LED Strip and 3rd party Strips, as well as original bridge or diy bridge.
