I’m having some issues with motion sensor cancellation.
Situation 1
Hallway with 2 Hue motion sensors and only one scene during both night and day
Sensor 1: Starts scene. Cancels sensor 2
Sensor 2: Starts scene. Cancels sensor 1
Works like a charm.
Situation 2
Hallway with 3 Hue motion sensors and only one scene during both night and day
Sensor 1: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 2 and 3
Sensor 2: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 1 and 3
Sensor 3: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 1 and 2.
‘Unknown’ issues in the ‘cancel sensor’ automation:
When only one sensor cancels the other two, all works. When the other sensors cancel the first one, the automations for the first sensor appear ‘unknown’ when reviewing the first sensor.
So the following situations appear:
Sensor 1: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 2 (works), Cancels sensor 3 (works)
Sensor 2: Starts scene
Sensor 3: Starts scene
Sensor 1: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 2 (Appear Unknown), Cancels sensor 3 (works)
Sensor 2: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 1 (appear Unknown)
Sensor 3: Starts scene
Sensor 1: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 2 (Appear Unknown), Cancels sensor 3 (Appear unknown)
Sensor 2: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 1 (appear Unknown), Cancels sensor 3 (Appear Unknown)
Sensor 3: Starts scene, Cancels sensor 1 (Appear Unknown), Cancels sensor 2 (Appear unknown)
Situation 3:
Hallway with two Hue motion sensors and different scenes during day and night. Both scenes show up as individual activities.
When disabling the other sensor during only the day activity all is fine. When also disabling the other sensor during the night activity, both activities show up as ‘Unknown’ after saving and reviewing again.
It looks like a bug that appears when motion sensors are cancelled more than once. This has worked fine in the past, this came up after I moved two hallways to another bridge.
