I just purchased Hue Essentials and created an automation which changes the light color several times over 3 minutes using timers, using the latest bridge and Hue essentials light that I purchased also purchased newly (latest versions as of date of this post). The automation sets a scene, then waits, then sets another scene, then waits, etc. until finished.
I need to be able to turn off or cancel this automation while it is still running.
How can I do that?
I tried creating and running a second automation which uses the same light, and the second automation has a 1-second timer. That shorter automation runs, but when one of the longer timers from the original automation times out, the light is still changed by the original automation, despite finishing the second automation in the meantime.
Thanks,
Larry
p.s., the use-case is a meeting conversation timer. Colors indicate how long is left in a participant’s turn, and if the turn ends early, I need to cancel the outstanding time left in the turn before starting another participant’s turn.
