You could do something like this:
- Create a schedule for sunset to set lights to “dimmed” scene. (alternatively use light sensor, see: Light level measurement from motion sensor as variable in other rules? - #3 by Thomas)
- Create another schedule for 00:00 to switch off lights
- Now go to the motion sensor screen. Use the wizard to set it up. For the day scene select “bright”. For the night scene select “dimmed”. As start time select 08:00 (sunrise time). As end time select 00:00. For no motion action select “Return to previous state”. Now go to the no motion tab and set the time to 30 seconds.
Furthermore, you may need to configure the daylight sensitivity for the motion sensor to make sure it is still active when it is dark and your lights are set to dimmed.
