Auto color based on time when power is restored - is this possible?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to set up an automation in my home and wondering if it’s possible with Hue Essentials.

My setup: I want to use standard wall switches that cut power to my Hue bulbs. When the power is restored (switch turned back on), I’d like the bulbs to automatically turn on with a specific color based on the time of day:

  • 6:00 - 22:00: Yellow/warm light
  • 22:00 - 6:00: Red light

Is there a way to create this kind of rule in Hue Essentials? I’m hoping the bridge can detect when a bulb becomes available again and execute a rule that sets its color based on the current time.

Any advice or alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated!
