Is there already a timeline to provide the Mac App as a universal App (including an Apple Silicon binary).
I have version 2.1.0 and it is shown as “Programm (Intel)”.

great to have a Hue Essentials for macOS, but I just noticed it still is an Intel version (and it takes ages to load on my MBA M1).
Any news towards on update on Apple Silicon?

I am aware that the macOS app is a bit slow on Apple Silicon devices (but also Intel devices). I am currently working on resolving all performance issues.
This includes fixes for slow startup times and stuttering in the app. The new version I am working on will also be universal with full Apple Silicon support.
I expect to have a TestFlight version ready in the coming weeks. This new version should have no performance issues, and starts up almost instantly. Is there anyone who would like to help test this new version when it’s ready?
