Hello everyone, hoping I’m posting this in the right place.
We’re moving into a new home, and the contractors are currently working on the ceiling. I want to achieve this lighting effect for the ceiling: [TEST]Ambilight Color Test / Philips Hue Ambilight Show 4K / Hue Play Sync Box / Gradient / Play Bar
To make this happen, I’ve calculated that we’ll need about 15m of Philips Hue LED strips. I’ve purchased the following:
- Hue Lightstrips Plus 2 m | Philips Hue NL This includes:
- Two 2m base kits
- Thirteen 1m extensions
I understand that I’ll need two power sockets to operate the strips. However, I’m unsure how to position them for the best effect. Here’s what I’m considering:
- Socket 1: 7m strip going clockwise
- Socket 2: 8m strip going counterclockwise
My main questions are:
- Should I start from the right side where the TV is?
- How do I ensure that the base strips on each side match the colors displayed at the top of the TV (e.g., left side for one strip and right side for the other)?
Here’s an idea of how my ceiling looks: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
I’d really appreciate your advice or tips from anyone who has experience with a similar setup. Thanks in advance!
